At the heart of much of our research is the accessabilty of data, and a reliable means of archiving and retreiving the data we collect.

For more than 20 years our staff have been developing data products and modeling tools specific to their fields of research. The data products are part of an ever-expanding set of tools that are being refined as we complete each of our research projects.

DATA PRODUCTS

The Data Discovery Center (DDC) is a National Science Foundation funded digital library that provides access to a broad suite of data sets and discovery tools generated for the New Hampshire and Maine EPSCoR (Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research) programs. Current holdings include atmospheric, aquatic, and terrestrial sensor data, imagery, model results, and survey data, in support of the Ecosystems and Society Project, the New England Sustainability Consortium (NEST), and the Ecosystems Computing Challenge (ECC). EOS-WEBSTER is a World Wide Web based interface to the University of New Hampshire's (UNH) Earth Science Information Partner (ESIP) digital library which contains data, information, and services concerning the earth system science community. It is designed to provide single-source access to a rich selection of geographically based information including model output, satellite imagery and vector data.

NH GRANIT provides access to New Hampshire's statewide geographic information system (GIS). Through this site we offer you access to a range of resources, including:
- search and retrieval of GRANIT data descriptions (metadata)
- retrieval of primary GRANIT data layers
- posting of news related to database developments
- announcements of upcoming meetings and events
- mapping of core data sets
- access to photography covering various geographic units of N.H.

Water Systems Analysis Group offers data products for analyzing the global water system, the critical global change issue of its alteration through anthropogenic activities, and the impacts of a changing water system on society.

The DeNitrification-DeComposition Model (DNDC) is a computer simulation model of carbon and nitrogen biogeochemistry in agro-ecosystems. The model can be used for predicting crop growth, soil temperature and moisture regimes, soil carbon dynamics, nitrogen leaching, and emissions of trace gases including nitrous oxide (N2O), nitric oxide (NO), dinitrogen (N2), ammonia (NH3), methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2).

PnET is a suite of three nested computer models which provide a modular approach to simulating the carbon, water and nitrogen dynamics of forest ecosystems. Though primarily a temperate forest canopy model, work is currently underway to generalize PnET and produce a simple, alternative model applicable to all terrestrial ecosystem types.

ESRC Laboratory for Remote Sensing and Spatial Analysis is a state-of-the-art Geo-Information processing and research laboratory in the Institute for the Study of Earth Oceans and Space (EOS) at the University of New Hampshire. The laboratory propagates geographic knowledge and research through geographic-based technology at local, regional, national and global scales. Some of these technologies Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing, and Digital Image Processing, but the laboratory also specializes in Geographic Database Design, Archiving, and Visualization, as well as Web Mapping, Mobile App Development, and Geospatial Science Education. The laboratory currently helps to support research projects and applications at Earth Systems Research Center such as the the National Science Foundation (NSF) funded New Hampshire EPSCoR (Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research) Project, the New Hampshire GRANIT GIS Data Clearing house, and The Water Systems Analysis Group.
